The HSFC Christmas Tree

December 7th, 2009 Posted in News

From Liz Weirauch…

A big thank you to all those that helped make flies for the past few weeks to decorate the tree. For 2 weeks, the back room at The Angler’s Edge was filled with feathers and fur and the vacuum will probably go on strike! The club even had an enthusiastic beginner in Linda Gronski; she took on some giant flies that are now hanging on the tree at Carson Valley Museum. The big day for putting the tree up, December 3rd, we had some great people lending a hand and ideas to put up a tree that I don’t think the valley has ever seen before. So, a big thanks goes out to those that donated items like lights and decorations, ran to the store and got needed items and for building and decorating the stand. It was a great Club project and we hope that next year we’ll be invited back!

You can see the trees decorated by local organizations and the HSFC at the Carson Valley Museum through Christmas and vote for the best one with a quarter, yes, 25 cents and you can say that our Clubs’ is the best!
