AWG Meeting
Our next watershed group meeting is Tuesday, April 13th at 6:00 PM at the Markleeville Library. Our main agenda item will be Meadow Assessment and Restoration Projects in Alpine County, including presentations by Cal Trout and American Rivers regarding their involvement in a state Meadow Initiative funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Federation (NFWF). Please see attached draft agenda for details.
Hope Valley Site Visit/Ski Tour
In conjunction with our AWG meeting and meadow restoration discussion, we will be doing a ski/snowshoe site visit in Hope Valley on Wednesday, April 14th at 10:00 AM. We will be visiting the site of a possible stream restoration project as well as discussing the larger scope of restoration in the valley. We will meet at the parking area at the beginning of Blue Lakes Road at 10:00 AM. We intend to wrap up by noon. However we might extend the discussion and tour over lunch, so please bring a bag lunch if you are interested in that option.
