With the expected poisoning and closure of Silver King Creek in the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness this coming fall, this summer may be the last opportunity for several years to visit and fish this beautiful mountain stream. For this reason, the club is planning a trip into Silver King on Sunday, 18 July. To make this trip available to as many members of HSFC as possible, we have been in contact with Joe Cereghino at Little Antelope Pack Station near Coleville, CA.
The plan is to meet at the pack station early on Sunday morning, ride in on horseback, spend the day fishing, and ride out that evening. Joe says “I could do a special pricing package for your group. Do you have an estimate of how may people would be going in? Let me know.”
If you would be interested, we need to know by the May meeting on the 19th so we can give Joe a number and get it priced. Another option would be to have Joe pack some folks in earlier that week to camp and fish for several days. Those interested would need to make arrangements with Joe.
If you can’t make the meeting but are interested, give Don or Liz a call at The Angler’s Edge (775-782-4734) by the 19th.
